Hello, I’m Kursten Faller. I spent the early part of my career in the trenches—leading projects, building businesses, and learning firsthand what it takes to deliver results in complex environments. Today, I work with clients as a coach, advisor, and consultant to help them develop their own capabilities in those same high-stakes trenches.
Over the years, I’ve come to realize that real success in leadership and projects doesn’t come from following a rigid process—it comes from how we show up, how we lead people, and how we build trust across an organization. That’s where the leverage is. And that’s what I write about here.
I created this Substack to share the insights, lessons, and reflections I’ve picked up along the way. It’s my hope that what I’ve learned will inspire you to embrace new opportunities, take bold steps, and strengthen connections within your own teams and organizations.
So why now?
After years of leading projects and building businesses, I’ve seen the real leverage point in organizations isn’t just better planning—it’s better thinking. Whether I’m working with project teams in the field or executives in the C-suite, the breakthroughs happen when people shift how they show up, how they relate, and how they lead under pressure.
That’s why I started this space: to share what I’ve learned coaching teams and senior leaders using neuroscience-based approaches that drive real behavior change. This isn’t about theory—it’s about what works in the messy, high-stakes reality of real people delivering real results.
What can you expect here?
Every Monday, I’ll share a post rooted in real-world experience—personal stories, mindset shifts, and actionable insights drawn from my work with project teams and executives alike. These ideas come from years in the trenches and from coaching leaders and teams to think differently, lead more effectively, and create results through connection, not just control.
Much of what I share ties into my new book, The "Hidden" Drivers of Project Success. As I write, I’ll be releasing early excerpts, behind-the-scenes reflections, and raw ideas still taking shape. If you're curious about what actually drives outcomes in complex, high-stakes environments—beyond checklists and process maps—this is where I’ll be exploring it first.
During the week (Tuesday to Friday), I post shorter content on LinkedIn—quick prompts, reflections, or tools to help you carry Monday’s ideas into the rest of your week.
